Postion Details

  • Full-Time Position

Compensation
Starting at $22/hour
Full-time schedule with regular overtime opportunities that significantly increasing annual earnings.

 

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

  • EMT basic, CPR, AED
  • CA Class B License or Firefighter Endorsement
  • Driver/Operator 1A & 1B
  • Qualified Engine Boss
  • CA State Firefighter 1
  • 3+ years experience as Engineer
  • Qualified Instructor
  • Company Officer Classes 2A, 2B, and 2D

Applicants lacking some qualifications may still be considered and may be required to obtain missing certifications within 12 months of hire.

 

Duties & Assignments

  • Supervise and lead fire personnel during emergency and non-emergency operations
  • Serve as Officer-in-Charge during assigned shifts and incidents
  • Coordinate training, drills, and daily station activities
  • Maintain apparatus, equipment readiness, and station operations
  • Complete incident reporting and departmental documentation
  • Support fire prevention, public education, and community outreach activities
  • Respond to medical, fire, rescue, and mutual aid incidents
  • Serve as Engine Boss on strike team and mutual aid assignments, as assigned
